This is a demo of the game ZOA (or Zone Of Avoidance) from Casady & Greene, Inc. Just launch ZOA and scan through the on-line help for directions.
The full blown version allows you to save games and play through all the levels you want. Something you'll really miss in the demo are the deadly 5th waves (wave 5, 10, 15, etc.). A mother ship approaches your space station and you have to enter through an access tunnel in the rear of the ship and destroy its reactor core ... very difficult. As you progree through levels you can update various systems on your ship (to improve your engines, lasers, etc.). Also, more and varied types of enemy ship begin to swarm in on your space station - attacking you, pulling off segments of your space station, etc.
You might be interested to know that ZOA really rocks with a joystick (like the Gravis Mousestick II or CF's Flightstick etc.). If you have the horsepower, try kicking on the texturing.
